LED Light Emitting Diodes

General Information About White LEDs

LEDs (light emitting diodes), used by industry as indicator lights for years, LEDs are now available as a light source for use by aviation, law enforcement, forensics, military, astronomers, boaters, hunters, outdoor recreation enthusiasts and others.

This is the first major revolution in lighting since the invention of the incandescent bulb over 119 years ago. LEDs are the light source of the future.

LED bulbs are more durable, longer lasting and energy efficient than incandescent light bulbs. LEDs are available in numerous colors, including white.

Since LEDs do not have a filament, they are not damaged when a regular incandescent bulb would shatter. Rugged, high-efficiency LEDs last 100,000 hours, use less power, and batteries last 15 - 20 times longer than with incandescent bulbs.
